In November 2024 I had the honour and pleasure to write for and conduct in the Chartmakers project of the Youth Jazz Orchestra of Rhineland-Palatinate (a.k.a. the Phoenix Foundation) for their concert at the Heinrich-Haus in Engers.
I very much cherished my time working with this band of talented young musicians together again and it really brought me back to my time with my own generation of this band a few years back.
The concert ended up being a great success all thanks to the efforts of band leader Frank Reichert, arrangement coach Stefan Karl Schmid and the team of docents behind the band,
